I was browsing the web looking for images to inspire double trapeze photography and I came across an interview with Ruby. She told of touring with Circus Oz and having incredible shin pain from a 90Km walk across the overland track in Tasmania. Just before our Hobart season. I remember this as if it was a couple of weeks ago. I think it was 2006, but I’m not sure.
Anyhow, this video appeared with the interview. And I’d like to point out that those marks on the stage at the end of the video were made by ME!!
Oh, and that is Christa Hughes singing. Enjoy.

It’s way harder than it looks! You watch someone do something and think, yeah, that doesn’t look too hard. So you give it a go and realise that it doesn’t look hard for them because they are pretty damn good at what they do! Well, at least the photos are alright.
This is my first attempt:

And then I tried to do the shading technique thingies to change the shape of the face for a more 3 dimensional effect. Up close it looks shocking. I thought, I wonder what it looks like from a distance, so I went into the other room and looks and I couldn’t see any resemblance to Sar’s face at all. So I had to grab some photos. On the back of the camera, the Sar looked amazing. But the bigger picture on the computer screen looked crap.
So for this image, stand back a bit. Can you tell what Sarah is?
